ISSUE STATEMENT

A resolution authorizing the purchase of one new Nine Ton Dovetail Trailer, from A&W Truck and Trailer in the amount of $6,555.00.

RESOLUTION

BACKGROUND/HISTORY

The proposed trailer is a replacement for a 1974 Centerville Trailer-Unit 301. The proposed trailer is to be utilized for transporting material such as pipe, concrete manhole structures, sod and larger bulkier items. The FY10-11 budget included the funding for the proposed trailer.

Staff had requested competitive quotes for the trailer and received three. Below please find the results of the competitive quotes for the Nine Ton Dovetail Trailer.

Committee Recommendation

The Municipal Services Committee recognizes there is a $55.00 shortfall in comparison to the budgeted amount. The deficit would be reimbursed from a savings realized earlier in the year from the Equipment Account. The Committee recommends approval of the resolution authorizing the purchase of one new Nine Ton Dovetail Trailer, from A&W Truck and Trailer in the amount of $6,555.00.
