ISSUE STATEMENT
Approval of a resolution authorizing the City to accept a Plat of Dedication for the roadways within the Ashbrook Place Development consisting of Ashbrook Court and a five (5) foot roadway easement (See Plat Attachment 1).
BACKGROUND
The Ashbrook Homeowners Association requested that the City of Darien take ownership of Ashbrook Court within the Ashbrook Place Development, in October of 2009. The City Council approved a criterion for the acceptance of private roadways in December of 2006.
A motion authorizing City Staff to begin the process of accepting a future Plat of Dedication for the roadways within the Ashbrook Place Development consisting of Ashbrook Court and a five (5) foot roadway easement was approved by the City Council on February 1, 2010.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION
The Municipal Services Committee recommends approval of the resolution to accept a Plat of Dedication for the roadways with the Ashbrook Court Development. The Ashbrook Homeowners Association has complied and completed all items as they relate to the attached February 1, 2010 City Council Meeting Agenda memo. All invoices incurred by the City of Darien have been paid in full.
ALTERNATE CONSIDERATION
Not approving the proposed Plat of Dedication.

This item will be placed on the agenda for the August 2, 2010 City Council agenda for formal approval.
