City Administrator
The City of Darien has chosen to hire a
professional administrator to oversee the daily operations of the City
and to be responsible to the Mayor and City Council for the proper administration
of the affairs of the City. The City's Code sets forth the specific duties
of the City Administrator. Generally, they provide that the Administrator
supervises all employees of the City, carries out the programs and priorities
established by the Mayor and Council, and is responsible for the day-to-day
management of the City's financial affairs.
The Administrator works very closely with
the Mayor to coordinate the City's operations and
activities. The Administrator also works closely with the other elected
officials to be sure the City organization
is responsive to their needs and to support their roles.
