Press Release - August 18, 2010

The Darien Police are investigating a home invasion that took place in the 8900 block of Middleton, Darien, IL. The incident took place at about 9:30am on 17 August 2010. Four offenders, of Asian descent made a forced entry to the front door of the home. The residents were bound and placed in an upstairs bedroom as the offenders ransacked the house in search of money. An undetermined amount of cash was taken.

Once the offenders had left the residence, one of the victims gained access to a telephone and notified police.

No injuries were reported as the victims were treated and released by paramedics at the scene.

Police are confident that this was not a random act and the house was targeted. The homeowner is a businessman in Chicago.
